Would you kindly get to know Would You Kindly?

Over the last four years, Would You Kindly? has become a powerful female-fronted rock band throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

First hitting the stage in 2019, lead singer Gina Marie and guitarist Paul Hoskins could be found performing at the Sazzy B and Rustic Road open mics almost every week in downtown Kenosha. They were known for playing a combination of covers like “Zombie” by The Cranberries and originals such as “The Aftermath”.

After adding members Daniel Harrison (bass guitar), Megan Weaver (violin), and Haven “Miss B” Wells (drums) in 2020 and 2021, Would You Kindly?’s profile grew earning various standing gigs. Also believing in being a huge support to the local community, Would You Kindly? has played events such as Make Music Kenosha, Kenosha Pride, Songs of Freedom, Captains + Canines partnered with Safe Harbor Humane Society, Into The Space for the Kenosha Creative Space, and the grand opening of The Vault at Historic 625.

Recently they released a powerful album titled “The Aftermath”. It is a story about trauma and continued recovery of domestic violence and abuse. Whether that violence or abuse be physical, sexual, mental, or emotional, “The Aftermath” is about working through that trauma as a human.

It is an expression of all the things you may feel in those situations: love and hate, happiness and sorrow, care and anger; and the long journey to recovery. There are many steps to that journey, and sometimes it never ends, but that is why we call it “The Aftermath”.

“With the support of the local music community, our friends, fans, and families we have been able to follow our dreams, and keep living lives I only ever dreamt about as a kid. I’m humbled and grateful for the support and positive response to ‘The Aftermath’. This journey has been a long one and incredibly cathartic.” –Gina Marie
